1. Remove carpet stains with vinegar and a steam iron.
Spilled wine while having fun with friends and family? No problem! No need to rent a carpet cleaner or get it professionally cleaned, all you need is vinegar and a steam iron and you are good to go! Mix vinegar and water together with 1:3 ratio, and apply the mix to the stain, and then cover the stain with a wet cloth before steading the stain for about 30 seconds long.
2. Disinfect your sponges in the microwave.
Bacteria can build up easily with sponges, so don't forget to disinfect it every now and then. It is recommended that you replace the sponges once a month or every two weeks depending on how much you use it. During this period, it is important to disinfect your sponges, ideally after each clean but definitely once every week. The microwave is one of the most effective ways to disinfect your sponges, zapping 99.9% of germs. Do this by putting the sponge in the microwave, saturating it in water, then heating it on high for one minute to two minutes.
3. Clean your dishwasher with baking soda and vinegar.

Add 1 cup baking soda to the bottom of your empty dishwasher and let it sit overnight. Then run the dishwashing cycle on the hottest temperature possible using vinegar instead of regular detergent to clean your dishwasher thoroughly! Remember to remove debris from the filter.
